| History: | Brothers Albert and Walter Boynton demonstrated well the “cut out and get out” method of tramlogging and sawmilling. Operating their tramroads into the bottomlands of the Angelina River, east of Lufkin, they had to dismantle their operation after only four years, moving it to Newton County. In 1905, Boynton & Brothers were operating a logging company at Ora, near Huntington. Their rolling stock they used on their several thousand acres of stumpage included a locomotive and several flat cars, about five miles of tramroad, and oxen and mule teams. No mention is made of steam skidders or loaders.
