History:	The American Lumberman noted on January 28, 1905, that C. E. Slade had operated tie camps along the Orange & Northwestern for several years. Slade, in 1909, closed operations at Quigley and transferred to Bunker Hill, Jasper County, thirty miles north of Orange. Company used steam-powered log loaders and skidders. Tram spurs jutted from both sides of the railroad into the loggeries. Loggers and families number about 150. Another tax roll for that year in Jasper County revealed that he had thirty-five horses or mules, and seven wagons rendered for taxation. In 1909, the camp closed and was transferred to Bunker Hill, Jasper. In September, 1908, the Southern Industrial and Lumber Review reported that Miller-Link was doing its own logging.
