| History: | The owners of the Sabine Tram Company, which had a mill at Deweyville, had planned to run a railway to Beaumont. In 1918, Sabine Tram was sold to Peavy-Moore, which decided to continue the project with a change of a western terminus from Beaumont to Gist, where it could link with Kirby's Orange & Northwestern.
Incorporated November 5, 1921, the railway of less than twelve miles, according to Zlatkovich, and fifteen miles, according to Reed, was finished by June 1922. The railway was headquartered at Deweyville. It was abandoned in 1945.
C. C. Cary served as Vice President and Traffic Manager.
