Historicial Development: One of the former owners of the Bagley operation, once the Rusk Lumber Company, which was eventually sold to Troy Holt in the latter 1940s, J. M. Bagley continued his sawmilling career in Cherokee County. In 1951, he sold equipment to the Bagley Lumber Company for $18,450. Property and equipment included, the sawmill with a diesel motor, all mill supplies, five log wagons, six mules, a 1937 log loader, tractors, a 1948 Studebaker truck, a 1944 Dodge truck, a 1947 Dodge truck, and a 1948 International truck.
