Historicial Development: J. R. Burnett, as Trustee for a company in financial difficulty, sold the property to C. E. Jacques in 1894. The property included a 60-horsepower boiler, a 60-horsepower steam engine, a log handler, a log turner, a saw frame and carriage, a rope feed, a St Louis gang edger, shafting, a pump, a 50-horsepower boiler, a 25-steam engine, a Hoyt planer, a resaw, a 2-saw gang edger, and other equipment for a saw and planing mill. C. E. Jacques mortgaged, in March, 1896, a 60-horsepower boiler, a 40-horsepower Ames steam engine, a Curtis & Co #2 Giant sawmill, a sawdust carrier, a 3-saw gang edger, a log hoisting machine, a 50-inch circular saw, and a 55-inch circulars saw.
