Historicial Development: H. B. Reese, doing business as Cherokee Sales Company, sold to Tyra & Reese Lumber Company of Jacksonville on September 28, 1946, “planer, 6 elec motors saws blow pipe belting, one sawmill complete, 2 International PUs together with all timber logs & lumber.” In June of 1951, J. W. Tyra sold for $16,000 to Oscar H. Dawson his undivided interest in a sawmill and planing mill, located on twenty acres of the Jose Pineda W-4 league and an one-half interest in two vehicles.
