Historicial Development: This company first appeared listed in Kelleyville in the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association, January 1907. Lodi Lumber Company either bought this mill or leased its cut in 1906. Lodi Lumber also leased Williams' land between Big Cypress Bayou and Little Cypress Bayou for four years. The Lodi Lumber contract revealed that Williams's sawmill plant had steam machinery, a planer, a shingle mill, eight oxen, log wagons, a cane mill, and other property. In 1907, Williams contracted his cut through Torrans Manufacturing Company.
