Historicial Development: Robert Brabham began sawing at Willis when, in 1954, he bought from J. A. Parker a complete sawmill and planing mill complex. In 1956, he sold the site back to Parker. Eventually, they combined companies. By 1966, Brabham-Parker employed sixty-five workers. Two dry kilns had been added by that year. In 1973, the mill manufactured 1,800,000 board feet working with loblolly, shortleaf, slash. This mill was reported to be sold to Louisiana-Pacific and closed.
