Historicial Development: The local newspaper described the community of Alazan in July 17, 1901, as having “one store, post office, saw mill, gin, and mill for grinding. A good school and a scholastic enrollment of 50 with 15 overs and unders making 65. Alazan community will build a new church house, and a new up-to-date school house in the near future. Professor Miles is teaching there.” John Noel Rogers was the new post master at Alazan.
