Historicial Development: This was one of Galloway's several ventures. He and Wright purchased rough cut lumber from local mills to remanufacture speciality items. They were reported by the American Lumberman to be putting in a planing mill at Cushing. Galloway and Wright opened a large retail lumber yard in Nacogdoches. It was the first major business in Nacogdoches to install and use telephone for business purposes. C. C. Galloway owned a plant at LaNana about 1899 and Caro from 1902 to about 1905.
