Historicial Development: J. J. Simpson's mill in 1918 was located on the King's Highway, about four miles west of Nacogdoches. He sold some lumber to Tilford-Hunt in November of that year. In 1913, he had been sawmilling and mortgaging lumber to the Alto Bank in Cherokee County.
