Historicial Development: The American Lumberman announced in May 1906 that Thomas B. Sullivan “and associates” were then busy constructing their new sawmill on the Orange & Northwestern railroad. George Adams, Jr., was listed as “assistant to Mr. Sullivan.” Timber supply was estimated as “sufficient” to keep the mill “running for several years.” The mill was apparently still in operation when the 1910 U.S. census was taken, but it is believed the mill was dismantled shortly thereafter when the timber supply was exhausted. The mill was possibly dismantled in 1913 and moved elsewhere.
