Historicial Development: Alma Lee Cline, son of Brazil D. Cline, bought a lumber yard and a first mill in 1919 from G. A. Wynne. The lien for $3,223 covered “all machinery, tool, wagons, teams known as the Barrett retail lumber yard in Huntsville, also a certain sawmill plant of William Cotton's land six miles south of Huntsville, located 1/2 mile east of Sion.” This mill burned in 1926. Lack of insurance prevented Cline from reentering the lumber-milling business until 1943. See Alma Lee Cline entry at on Cline Street.
