Historicial Development: The Riverside Mill Company appeared in the January 1907 published records of the Lumbermen's Credit Association (LCA) as manufacturers of hardwood lumber. The mill firm was possibly affiliated with the Riverside Lumber Company, which appeared in the LCA's January 1905 published records as wholesalers of hardwood lumber. The Lumber Mills listing of the 1906 Southern Industrial and Lumber Review issue contains the following: Riverside Milling Company at Phelps, some miles south of Riverside, with a daily cut of 30,000 feet.
